A practically all-white example of this common date in the Carson City half dollar series. Some light-brown smudges and a horizontal streak of the same color are visible on and around the left side of Ms. Liberty’s figure. Small dots of raised metal are visible on the center of her chest and below her ear. A small planchet defect is in the field to the right of her neck.

Raised die polish lines are prevalent on the reverse, where you will also find die cracks across the top of UNITED STATES and through the word DOL. Some rust-colored toning lies beneath the word HALF. Contact marks pepper both sides, but they will not bother you as you will surely admire this coin’s pizzazz and sharp details.
