Ever since the Carson City Coin Collectors of America organized in 2005, the specialty numismatic club has published a journal, first semiannually, next on a quarterly basis, and beginning in 2010 three times a year. Each issue of the journal, Curry’s Chronicle, comprises articles contributed by members covering a wide array of topics, all related to the life and times of the Carson City Mint, the collectors whom the mint’s coins have attracted through the years since it closed, and the coins themselves (values, survival populations, variety diagnostics, etc.). Images of coins and all sorts of other subjects supplement the articles. Members also submit letters to the editor, in which they share their comments about other members’ articles, personal experiences with collecting, and questions.

On the last page of every journal, readers will find a chart showing the mintage totals of all the different coins manufactured at the Carson City Mint. Additional editorial content includes information about club activities, and recognition of members’ achievements, among other announcements.

With more than 325 articles published (as of early 2015), the collective subject matter found in the more than 33 Curry’s Chronicles provides a wealth of information about the Carson City Mint and its coins not available in any single reference work, anywhere. The Numismatic Literary Guild and the American Numismatic Association have awarded the journal with many Best Article of the Year and Best Small Club Publication of the Year honors. Members of the C4OA confirm that a subscription to Curry’s Chronicle is one of the best values in numismatics.
