Amidst celebrating a wonderful birthday dinner in Tahoe for three of the five Southgate members this last weekend, Maya’s 25th birthday started off the trio. Read on for more about Maya’s celebratory day at Southgate Coins.
Maya celebrated her 7th birthday at Southgate Coins on Monday (WOW!), marking a quarter of a century on the planet (yes, Maya, I’m trying to make you feel old—very old). When I (Nicole) arrived to work this morning, I brought Maya a pretty purple and white orchid plant along with dragonfly and bullfrog balloons. I slightly “revamped” the plant and balloons with glitter and purple ribbon, and I made a “Happy Birthday” sign to stick on one of the balloons since the store had none (apparently no one’s concerned about birthdays during graduation season since that’s the only stuff they had).
Throughout the day, we had close friends of the store call to wish Maya a happy birthday, and we even had some good friends come into the store, visiting from out-of-town, who also wished her a happy birthday. Although Emily and Marie don’t work on Mondays, they also made a special appearance later in the day together to celebrate with Rusty, Maya, and myself.
Rusty and Marie surprised Maya with her favorite, a delicious Cookies ‘n Cream ice cream cake from Cold Stone Creamery, yummmm! We all enjoyed a mouth-watering piece of cake and smiles all-around were unanimous.
Although we were all spoiled just two days ago with an extravagant dinner in Lake Tahoe, it’s nice to know that Rusty and Marie still go out of their way to make each of our birthdays a little more special. It was absolutely delightful participating in the May birthday craze with all of these wonderful people.
Thanks!
